Ante-post
Most of the advised ante-post bets were non-runners but members were only advised to bet non-runner, no bet so money back and no losses. There was still some decent value highlighted on the previews:

13th February
Supreme Novices Hurdle
Shishkin is as short as 9/4 for the opener on the back of two facile victories in modest races, so there’s no reason why the gelding could not be the next Altior… but is he really going to be much shorter than 3/1 on the day?” won 6/1
“It does appear that Envoi Allen will contest the Ballymore on the Wednesday and I don’t understand why Abacadabras (11/2) is over twice the price of the favourite having already won at the top level and running second to Envoi Allen at Leopardstown over Christmas.” 2nd 11/4

19th February
Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle
Night Edition (Ludlow) is interesting back in novice company as a win here would give him a nice profile for the Boodles (33/1) at the festival and he should get in on his current mark (133” 2nd 16/1

24th February
Champion Chase
“there could be some each-way value with Dynamite Dollars (25/1). Straight after the Game Spirit, Dynamite Dollars was 25/1 and Sceau Royal was 12’s which didn’t make any sense to me, if I could have got a match bet at that stage, I would be all-over DD to reverse the form at Cheltenham and the King horse is likely to skip the festival if the ground is soft anyway. The prices are more accurate now, if any of the top three don’t line-up or under-perform, I think the Nicholls horse is the best chance of an outsider hitting the frame”
Dynamite Dollars – 25/1 each-way (3 places)2nd 7/1 (2 places)

Stayers Hurdle
“One that might be over-priced is Bacardys if you can forgive his last run, based on the best of his back catalogue” 3rd 33/1

Conditionals Handicap Hurdle
“At the time of writing no weights have been published but I have one on my radar for this with Column Of Fire who really caught the eye with a good second in Dublin. Elliott loves to win this and usually lays one out for it. You can get 8/1 NRNB”

Column Of Fire each-way @ 8/1 – fell at the last hurdle at 1.59 in running – RP summary “…looked an ideal type for the race and was making a good fist of it when coming down at the last. Surely booked for a place at the very least, he will find compensation somewhere along the line”

Cheltenham Gold Cup
“I think the prices are spot on with around 2/1 ON that the winner will come from the quartet of: Al Boum Photo [1st], Santini (2nd), Delta Work and Lostintranslation [3rd]”
